Legacy Senior Services (Legacy) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization established in Minnesota in 2002. Legacy’s mission is to create communities of dignity, passion, and respect for older adults and to partner with other not-for-profit organizations across the country. They seek to provide broad continuums of care to promote the health, mind, and spirit of those they serve. Legacy currently operates in two locations: Frazee Care Center, Frazee Assisted Living, and Frazee Senior Villa in Frazee, Minnesota; Vergas Assisted Living in Vergas, Minnesota; and Marycrest Assisted Living in Denver, Colorado.
Frazee Care Center offers comprehensive long-term and short-term care options for individuals in need of 24-hour skilled nursing care or rehabilitative care after surgery or other illness. Frazee Assisted Living, Frazee Senior Villa, and Vergas Assisted Living are senior living options offered for those who need some extra help with activities of daily living and other personalized care needs. The community has served the changing health care and housing needs of Minnesotans in the Frazee and Vergas areas since 1971.
Marycrest Assisted Living features two residences, Serenity for those seeking assisted living services, and Harmony for residents living with neurological impairments, cognitive disabilities, or physical challenges that require some personal assistance each day from reassuring caregivers. Team members in both compassionate environments collaborate with residents and their families to create personalized life enhancement plans that support each person’s unique wellness and spiritual goals.
Legacy provides older adults with the care and services they deserve with respect and dignity, and that need is only becoming more apparent. According to Claritas, 18.6% of the U.S. population is aged 65 or older in 2025, and this percentage is projected to increase to 20.7% by 2030. With a steadily growing population of older adults, Legacy recognizes the increasing demand for quality senior living care, and they are committed to serving today’s and tomorrow’s residents.
