The benefits listed are for Marycrest Assisted Living employees of full-time status.

Paid Time-Off

Full-time employees earn paid time-off, beginning 90 days of employment:

  • 1-4 years of service – 4 hours per pay period
  • 5-9 years of service – 5.54 hours per pay period
  • 10+ years of service – 7.08 hours per pay period

Holidays

Marycrest recognizes seven paid holidays which employees are eligible for immediately upon hire:

  • Christmas Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Memorial Day
  • New Year’s Day
  • Thanksgiving Day

Health and Wellness

Health Insurance
Employer/employee contribution plan is available the first of the month following the completion of 60 days of employment.

Dental Insurance
Employer/employee contribution plan is available the first of the month following the completion of 60 days of employment.

Vision Insurance
Employer/employee contribution plan is available the first of the month following the completion of 60 days of employment.

Supplemental Insurance
Voluntary plans are available the first of the month following the completion of 60 days of employment.

Life Insurance
Term life insurance is provided by Marycrest Assisted Living at no cost to employees at a value of $15,000. It is available the first of the month following the completion of 60 days of employment.

401k Retirement Plan
Upon enrollment, the Marycrest Assisted Living 401(k) Plan helps employees save for retirement automatically by deducting a pre-designated amount from each paycheck on a pre-tax basis. These funds are deposited it into employees’ retirement accounts.

Bereavement Pay
Marycrest Assisted Living employees are eligible for up to 3 days with pay.

Jury Duty Pay
Employees receive regular pay for the first three days of jury duty.  For jury duty in excess of three days, employees receive the difference between jury duty pay and their regular pay, up to a maximum of 10 days.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteers are highly valued members of our assisted living community.  Marycrest Assisted Living residents and team members deeply appreciate the gifts and talents these special individuals bring to our lives by volunteering in support of our mission and values. What may seem like a small gift of time truly makes an immeasurable difference in the lives of everyone who lives and works at Marycrest Assisted Living.

No matter what your skills are or how much time you are willing to share, Marycrest is home to many rewarding volunteer opportunities!  You can work directly with residents or help with staff.  Share your time and talents with our residents in one of the following programs:

Craft Assistant
Are you creative?  Help residents enjoy meaningful craft projects.  All materials will be supplied.

Computer Tutor
Work one-on-one with residents or assist with the semester-based programming catalog.

Store Clerk
Work as cashier in the Country Store.

Resident Escort
Escort residents on individual shopping excursions or outings.  Also accompany residents to beauty shop appointments, therapy sessions, Mass or special events.

One-on-One Visitor
Brighten the day by reading, doing an activity or talking with a resident.

On-Site Activity Assistant
Lend a hand to our activities team! Help residents during scheduled activities like baking or art projects and when attending events like birthday parties.

Offsite Activity and Event Assistant
Accompany our residents on special outings and offsite activities. You’ll join us as we visit places like the zoo, Central City, botanical gardens, and restaurants.

Chapel Assistant
Support our residents’ spiritual wellness by participating in our spiritual care programming. We also appreciate help escorting residents to our chapel services as needed.
